THE KEYS- Whilst the key is fair high for some of the songs e.g. "Rockabye" it'll help me extend my vocal range. This is something I can practice with my teacher, and also use techniques to stop me from straining when kitting these high notes, for example posture and breathing, accentuating vowels that are easier to sing up high.
LYRICS LEARNING- Should be good- need to go over rockabye and keeping your head up but mostly I know them fairly well
COUNTERMELODY- Practicing holding my own melody despite the other one being clearly projected. I can do this by working with Charlotte and singing against each other, and also singing against the backing track
CHARACTERISATION - Taking the emotion of each song will help us apply the appropriate vocal technique/stance and facial expression to each song. The hardest part of this will be clearly defining each song with its own emotion but not so much that they no longer link, or feel disjointed in anyway.
PHRASING/BREATHING- Generally something I struggle with in terms of knowing when to breathe- obviously looking at phrase endings and when the lyric website goes a new line according to the lyric website. But on the longer phrases trying to breathe either all together or staggered separately is something that when planned is easily tackled.
