COMPARING DIFFERENT VENUES:
The Sealight Theatre
- Ability to convert into a black box giving the venue versatility
- Tiered seating meaning all audience members have a good view
- Full rig of lights and sound equipment
- Backstage access on 3 sides of the stage
This particular venue is suited for a range of performances, but mainly for drama performances or comedy acts due to the versatility of changing background.
Spring Harvest 'Cavern'
-More of a tent, marquee, with a roof
-Fixed sound desk and foldback amps make the venue mostly suited for musical performances
-Raised staging allows drummer/ full band to be seen at the same time, but is not so suitable for drama acts due to the fixed variety of levels in staging.
-The lighting was limited, a wash of colour could be provided but simply as an extra, its not a main feature/quality of the venue.
